The State Election Commission (SEC) has initiated an inquiry into claims of erasable electoral ink being used in Maharashtra's civic polls, prompted by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray’s accusations against state election commissioner Dinesh Waghmare. Waghmare dismissed the claims as false and warned of legal action against those spreading misinformation. He emphasized that the ink is indelible and has been in use since 2011.
