After 70 years, India welcomed cheetahs that were declared extinct in the country. Eight cheetahs from Namibia arrived in a special cargo flight, Boeing -747, which landed at the Indian Air Force Station in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. IAF choppers later carried them to their new home at Kuno National Park in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who celebrated his 72nd birthday on Saturday, released the cheetahs in the park. Here are some photos of the big cats.
