Halloween is celebrated each year on October 31 and historians believe that its tradition originated with an ancient Celtic festival where people lit bonfires and wore costumes to ward off ghosts, serve each other “trick-or-treat”, carve jack-o-lanterns and generally engage in festive gatherings to ward off all evil.
