PM Modi saluted the Indian contingent as it passed the dais where Macron, he and other dignitaries were seated.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote: “India, inspired by its centuries old ethos, is committed to doing everything possible to make our planet peaceful, prosperous and sustainable. 1.4 billion Indians will always be grateful to France for being a strong and trusted partner. May the bond deepen even further!”

Throughout the parade, Macron was seen explaining to PM Modi the nuances of the traditional parade.

United Arab Emirates pulled together a truly comprehensive all-round performance, beating Oman by 42 runs. Oman are now out of the tournament, while UAE have set up a very interesting winner-takes-all contest against Pakistan to decide who progresses to the Super 4s.

India showed off the gulf in quality and T20 ability they hold over Pakistan with a straightforward victory in Dubai, where they dominated right from ball one and never looked under any sort of threat. A performance worthy of the world champions.
