UPDATE: Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua returned in the second quarter after being evaluated for a concussion following a helmet-to-helmet hit from Texans linebacker Henry To'oTo'o in the first quarter. Nacua finished with 10 receptions for 130 yards.

The Rams faced challenges on the offensive line, losing both starting guards during the game. Steve Avila sustained an ankle injury in the first half but returned late in the second half. Kevin Dotson, however, left in the second half with an ankle injury and did not return. Additionally, tight end Colby Parkinson was questionable to return with a shoulder injury.
Despite these setbacks, the Rams secured a 14-9 victory over the Texans.
“I thought we did as many things as we (could possibly) do to not be able to put that game away, but what I do love about this group is they’re resilient,” said coach Sean McVay, who improved to 7-2 in openers. “They keep responding. I thought we really found a way.
