Kartik Aaryan was born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He pursued a degree in engineering before making a career in acting. He made his acting debut in 2011 with Luv Ranjan's film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He then featured in films such as, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh, Love Aaj Kal 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa which rose him to prominence. He has endorsed Emami Fair And Handsome and Manyavar. He was appointed by ECI to raise awareness on voter participation in elections.
