Preity Zinta was born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. She completed her graduation in English honours and criminal psychology. He began her career with Dil Se in 1998. She starred in many films like Salaam Namaste, Sangharsh,Veer Zaara and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. She won Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for Dil Se. She is also the recipient of Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in Kal Ho Naa Ho. She is married to Gene Goodenough. She is the co-owner of the IPL team, Kings XI Punjab since 2008. She also made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.
