A viral video showing a large crack in a roller coaster pillar at a North Carolina amusement park has prompted the closure of the ride. The video, filmed by a visitor named Jeremy Wagner, shows the roller coaster's pillar support separating momentarily when the coaster car zooms past at high speed. The ride, called Fury 325, at Carowinds amusement park has been closed for repairs, and an investigation by the North Carolina Department of Labor is underway.
