‘Lost my 2 kids’: CM Eknath Shinde chokes up in speech post Maha floor test win

- In his maiden speech in the Maharashtra Assembly after winning the trust vote, CM Eknath Shinde got emotional. While describing what he alleged were threats to his family over his revolt, Eknath Shinde referred to two of his children who had died and choked up. "My two children died - at the time, Anand Dighe consoled me and supported me. I used to think, what is there to live for? I will stay with my family," the CM said. He said the rebellion led by him last month was a fallout of the "unfair treatment" meted out to him, an apparent reference to his decades old association with the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena.
