'In 2-3 days...': SC to Modi, Kejriwal govts on air pollution, suggests lockdown

Taking note of the horrific levels of air pollution in the national capital, the Supreme Court asked the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and the Arvind Kejriwal administration in Delhi, to consider the possibility of imposing a two-day lockdown. The top court said that only stubble burning by farmers is not responsible for the situation. Meanwhile, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) advised residents to avoid stepping out of homes, and also suggested that government and private offices cut vehicular travel by 30%.
