Iran's football team sang the national anthem before their victory over Wales in the second FIFA match at the Khalifa International Stadium. The players ended their silent support to the anti-government protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini for not wearing the Hijab properly back home. Iran football team captain had earlier said that the players were not under any pressure from the Ebrahim Raisi government for not singing the anthem during their opening match with England in Qatar.
