Kiren Rijiju popped champagne to celebrate India’s best-ever Olympic performance. The Union law minister, who held the sports portfolio earlier, shared a video on Twitter. In the video, Rijiju was seen popping the champagne bottle & spraying it. He tweeted, “It's time to celebrate because India has delivered the best ever Olympic performance!” After Neeraj Chopra’s gold win, Rijiju remembered sprinter Milkha Singh, who died in June. Neeraj Chopra bagged a historic gold medal in the men's javelin in Tokyo Olympics. He became independent India's first athlete to win a medal in track & field discipline.
