Trump backs Netanyahu amid bribery trial: ‘We’ll be involved to help him, very unfair’

U.S. President Donald Trump said Sunday that Washington will “be involved” in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s criminal trial, claiming the Israeli leader has been unfairly targeted by law enforcement. In an extended interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Trump repeated his view that Netanyahu is being subjected to unjust treatment through the ongoing corruption proceedings.
