As ifresh Israel-Hamas clashes broke out in Gaza on October 19 - the seventh day of the ceasefire - US President Donald Trump commented on Israel's demand for the disarmament of Hamas under the deal brokered by Washington and signed on October 13 in Egypt. Trump appeared to go soft on the issue of the Palestinian group laying down arms. The US President's comments were aired on the day that Israel conducted fresh airstrikes on Gaza's Rafah after alleging a surprise attack by Hamas fighters on IDF troops.
