Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, prime minister of Yemen's internationally recognised government, announced his resignation on Saturday, citing "lots of difficulties" including his inability to reshuffle the cabinet. Mubarak’s exit follows a power struggle with Rashad Al-Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, who reportedly refused Mubarak’s request to dismiss 12 ministers, according to government sources.
