Malaysia detains ex army chief, four others in military contract bribery probe
Malaysian anti-graft authorities detained former army chief Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan and four others in a military procurement bribery investigation. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission plans to seek a court order for their custody. Previously, six bank accounts linked to the case were frozen, and 2.4 million ringgit in cash was seized during the investigation.
