Canada is initiating negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with India, driven by shifts in the global economic order, according to Foreign Minister Anita Anand. This move follows a recent thaw in relations, with formal talks expected to begin in February. The partnership aims to double bilateral trade to CA$ 70 billion by 2030.
