Turek, when speaking at his funeral service today, gave details of the final moments with Charlie in the van.
What Frank Turek said
Turek recounted that Kirk was loaded onto an SUV by his security team after he got shot. He rushed to stay by Kirk's side as the car sped off, in search of the nearest hospital, Turek recounted. He had previously shared this experience in a video posted on X, as well.
Recounting the frantic manner in which people got onto the car where Kirk was loaded, Turek said that there were five of them trying to get help. He shared that he'd even considered CPR, but Kirk seemed gone.
“Charlie wasn’t there. His eyes were fixed. He wasn’t looking at me. He was looking past me right into eternity. He was with Jesus already,” Turek had shared, adding, “He felt absolutely no pain. That’s what I was told later. But of course we had to try."
Turek added that doctors had managed to get a pulse when they reached the hospital. “They did get a pulse back, we were praying for a miracle,” Kirk's longtime friend had shared. “The doctor said, ‘We got a pulse because Charlie was a very healthy man. But the shot was catastrophic',” he added.
Turek recalled that the surgeon had come out twenty to thirty minutes later to declare Kirk dead.
Meanwhile, amid theories about no exit wound after Kirk was shot, TPUSA spokesperson Adam Kolvet sought to dispel rumors, stating he'd spoken to the medical professional treating Charlie Kirk, who'd purportedly said that Kirk's ‘bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel.’
Calling it a ‘miracle’ the TPUSA spokesperson cited the doctor saying that if Kirk's body had not held the bullet in, then someone standing behind him could have died as well.
