Following ANC's unexpected decision to pull the late-night show off the air indefinitely last week, lacono, who has been both a writer and on-air performer for years, spoke out about the show's uncertain future and how Kimmel is coping.
Speaking on Sunday's episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast, lacono treaded carefully while addressing the subject out of respect for the staff whose jobs may be in jeopardy. However, he hinted that the dust is yet to settle on the situation, as reported by the Daily Mail.

During the podcast, lacono said, “I wish I could say anything. There are a couple bombshells still there.” He added that he is “feeling good” and “We're going to be all right. Everything's going to be just fine,” as reported by the Daily Mail.
Talking about how Kimme will cope with the show's uncertain future, lacone said that the talk show host will be “fine.” He continued, “Hey listen, he might just want to be a pop-up chef and start making barbecue around the South Bay area. He'll do a great job.” Kimmel's cousin added, "That's all I have to say right now. I can't really say anything. You and I know too much. It's very emotional.'
The 54-year-old appeared reluctant to talk further about the show; thus, putting an end to speculation about the show's future, he added, “We both know too much. Not only our cousin, but all the people working for the show, and, it's better if we're not talking about this in any way.”

Jimmy Kimmel's controversial remarks over Charlie Kirk's death
The Kimmel controversy erupted last Monday after he addressed the assassination of Kirk during his opening monologue. The late-night host made pointed remarks about the suspected shooter, Tyler Robinson, sparking backlash.
In his monologue, the talk show host said, “The MAGA gang are desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.” He added, “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”
The video then cut to a reporter asking Trump how he was holding up after Kirk's death, to which the US President replied, “I think very good”. He then steered the conversation towards construction in the White House ballroom. Kimmel joked, “He's at the fourth stage of grief: construction,” as reported by the Daily Mail.
