Simone Biles is facing sudden backlash on social media, with several users alleging that the star gymnast ‘mocked’ conservative activist Charlie Kirk's death in a new blog post. The 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA was assassinated at a Utah Valley University event last week. His funeral service will take place on Sunday.

On Thursday, a Facebook post saying Biles wrote a raw post about Kirk, went viral. "SHE WAITED YEARS TO HAVE THE FINAL WORD. After Charlie Kirk publicly branded her a "national disgrace" in 2021, Simone Biles remained largely silent. Now, following his death, she has finally responded with a raw, emotional post detailing the personal hell he put her through. Millions are calling it the most courageous and necessary clapback in sports history. Decide for yourself if this was an act of bravery or a step too far," it read.
However, the post is fake. Biles has not commented on Charlie Kirk's assassination yet.
Charlie Kirk's previous comments on Simone Biles
After Biles decided to pull out of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics gymnastics team final, citing a 'mental issue', Kirk went after her. The activist even called the gymnast a ‘selfist sociopath’.
Charlie Kirk blamed Biles for Russia’s victory in the women’s finals, called her 'immature' and blasted her as a ‘shame to the country’. He added that the US is ‘raising a generation of weak people like Simone Biles’.
Erika Kirk named Turning Point USA CEO
Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika, was elected on Thursday as the new CEO of Turning Point USA.
"Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests. And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point USA," the board announced.
