Mouni Roy was born in Cooch Behar, West Bengal. She made her TV debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2006. She became a household name for her portrayal of Sati in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev in 201 and Shivanya in Naagin. She made it to the silver screen starring opposite Akshay Kumar in Gold in 2018. She followed Gold's success with Made In China in 2019. She has been one of the stylist people on Hindi television. She also appeared on dance reality show Zara Nach Ke Dikha and daily soap Kasturi. She got married to Suraj Nambiar.
