Sunny Deol is known as Bollywood’s macho man. He is the son of Dharmendra and Hema Malini as his step-mother. He marked his debut with the film Betaab in 1983 for which he received Filmfare Best Actor Award nominations. He starred in many successful movies like Apne, Ghayal, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Damini – Lightning. He received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the latter. He is married to Pooja Deol. The couple has two sons, Karan and Rajveer.He joined BJP in 2019.

Directors, including Raj Kumar Santoshi, Rahul Rawail and Anil Sharma, specially travelled to Hyderabad to celebrate Sunny's birthday.
