President Donald Trump delivered a stern ultimatum to Nigeria, warning that the United States will cut off all aid and may intervene militarily if the Nigerian government does not act to stop the killing of Christians. Trump threatened to “go into that now-disgraced country, guns a-blazing” against Islamic terrorists responsible for religious violence, vowing that the U.S. would “do things Nigeria is not going to be happy about.” The remarks escalate Washington’s pressure on Abuja as international attention grows on religious persecution and insecurity in Africa’s most populous nation.
