Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia’s defence industry has sharply increased weapons production since 2022, citing major growth across armoured vehicles, aviation, artillery, communications, and ammunition. Speaking at a meeting on new state arms programmes through 2036, Putin praised defence enterprises for supplying troops involved in the “special military operation” and said production of some key items has risen more than twentyfold. He stressed that experience gained in combat is shaping the future of Russia’s armed forces, alongside expanded high-tech manufacturing, automation and artificial intelligence.
