Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, sharply condemned Israel for its recent strike on Doha that killed five Hamas leaders and a Qatari security officer, calling it a “continued violation of international law, human values, and diplomatic norms.” Speaking ahead of a Monday summit of Arab and Muslim foreign ministers, Sheikh Mohammed urged the international community to stop “double standards” and impose consequences on Israel’s actions. He labeled the strike “state terrorism” and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to mediating a ceasefire in the Gaza war through cooperation with Egypt and the US.
