Ever since Charlie Kirk’s brutal assassination, Candace Owens has made several explosive statements on the murder. From suggesting that Tyler Robinson did not kill Kirk to pointing the finger at Turning Point USA, Owens has consistently been making headlines after the tragedy.
Kirk, 31, was allegedly shot dead by Robinson on September 10 during an appearance at a campus event in Utah. The shooting took place around 12:20 pm local time during a student Q&A at UVU in Orem.
Ten bombshell statements made by Candace Owens after Charlie Kirk’s murder
- Owens claimed in an interview that she does not believe Robinson killed Charlie Kirk. Speaking with CNN journalist Elle Reeve, Owens said, “I think that in the coming weeks there's going to be a lot of financial reports that are coming out and I first and foremost do not believe that Tyler Robinson killed Charlie Kirk. I want to be very clear on that. Whether he was involved, I think the answer is yes. I think that's obvious.”
- Owens also suggested that "the Feds made up the text messages” during the same interview. When Reeves asked her to explain why she believes Robinson did not work alone, Owens said, “I don't know, maybe the weird Fed messages that were concocted out of thin air that had no timestamp and were written like they were speaking in 1822, among other things. Their lack of an ability to answer any basic questions about what took place.”
When Reeves asked Owens if she had any proof that the messages were “made up,” Owens replied, “Yeah, but they didn't put timestamps on them and Discord came out and said they didn't exist.” Reeves then went on to ask, “What would it be like, like the Feds are like on a computer, like typing it out back and forth?” “That's exactly what it is,” Owens replied. “The Feds made up the text messages.”
- Owens said she wants a “war” with Turning Point USA and everyone that surrounded Kirk on the day of his assassination. During her podcast on her YouTube channel, she said, “So allow me to be very explicit. Okay. I want war with all of you. Okay. All of you. And there's a reason I'm going to get to that reason a little bit.”
“So allow me to be very explicit. Okay. I want war with all of you. Okay. All of you. And there's a reason I'm going to get to that reason a little bit.”
Owens added, “Say whatever it is you want to say about me. I want more with all of you because I know, I know this isn't right. And there is no way you are going to convince me and the rest of the world that all of this is normal. We're not just going to keep on going and jump into a succession plan. We're going to figure out what the hell happened on September 10th.”
- During the same podcast, Owens shared footage of a Kirk employee, saying he rushed to take a selfie video moments after the Turning Point USA founder was shot dead. "They just shot Charlie. He's dead,” the man said in the video. Owens called the man’s actions “suspicious.”
- Owens also shared screenshots of messages between Kirk and herself where the Turning Point USA founder appeared to predict his own death. Kirk said during a conversation that he isn’t sure he will “live to see the end of this revolution.” “I believe you were the piece god meant me to meet that will finish the fight,” Kirk wrote. “Since the beginning of tpusa I knew in my gut that I might get wiped out at any time”.
- Owens questioned how “every news trend” these days is about her or Tucker Carlson, suggesting that someone “in the shadows” must be worried. Owens took to X, writing, “How is it possible that every news trend is about me or Tucker Carlson? Someone in the shadows is panicking. It’s God time. How is it possible that every news trend is about me or Tucker Carlson? Someone in the shadows is panicking.”
- Owens also weighed in on Robinson’s surveillance video after the Washington County Sheriff's Office had denied 2News’ request to hand it over. The outlet requested access to surveillance footage of Robinson entering the Washington County Jail/holding area, as well as a video of Robinson in a holding room. “We do not have any records responsive to this portion of the request, as Tyler Robinson did not go to or enter the jail area,” wrote a records officer with the Sheriff's Office after 2News filed a public records request.
Authorities refused to hand over the holding room video as part of the investigation. Meanwhile, Owens has shared this news on social media, suggesting that maybe the footage “never existed in the first place”.
- Owens also spread unverified claims about an Egyptian Air Force plane’s links to Kirk’s murder. In a series of posts, she claimed that an Egyptian Air Force jet, tail number SU-BTT, “flew out of Provo, Utah” on the same day as the murder, and alleged that the aircraft’s presence was “no coincidence.” She claimed it had earlier visited an “army base in Nebraska” in July and remained in Utah “until just after Charlie was assassinated.”
- Owens made shocking statements about male attendees “wearing maroon shirts” at the event where Kirk was killed, even though it does not signify UVU school colors. “ She wrote on X, “Already receiving a ton of e-mails about my throwaway comment on today’s episode regarding noticing a lot of male attendees at the Charlie Kirk assassination were wearing maroon shirts despite it not signifying UVU school colors. I had NO IDEA that the color was associated with elite airborne operations. Encouraging everyone to further hone in on the males wearing maroon on that day.
- In one of her recent X posts, Owens said she is now confident that Kirk was “betrayed by the leadership of Turning Point USA.” She wrote on X, “I received information last night that put the final pieces together for me. I now can say with full confidence that I believe Charlie Kirk was betrayed by the leadership of Turning Point USA and some of the very people who eulogized him on stage. Yes I will be naming names and providing evidence for my claims. And I am making a personal plea to every well-meaning person who donated to this Godforsaken organization to request a refund. You were lied to. And leadership knew.”
