Trump humiliated: Iran's parliament erupts in chants, Speaker declares US bases, warships in danger

Iran has warned that it will retaliate against Israel and U.S. military bases if Washington launches strikes on Iranian territory, as tensions rise amid widespread anti-government protests. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said any attack would make U.S. assets and Israel “legitimate targets,” cautioning Washington against a “miscalculation.” The warning comes as Israel remains on high alert following repeated threats by U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene if Iranian authorities crack down on protesters. Protests that began over inflation in late December have evolved into a broader political challenge to Iran’s clerical leadership, further escalating regional instability.
