Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has delivered a hard‑line message on the 12‑day wave of unrest shaking the country, claiming that “the enemy’s objective” was to sow “disarray and conflict” inside Iran and that outside powers are now trying to “refuel this unrest” through economic pressure and interference. In a televised address, Pezeshkian alleged that “trained” groups operating inside and outside Iran brought terrorists into the country who torched mosques and attacked markets and unions, pointing to reported arson in Rasht and insisting that “Iranian society does not tolerate those who torch mosques” in this way.
